My positional role in the Canadian healthcare system as a professional nurse is very crucial. My role as a healthcare practitioner includes patient advocacy, care coordination, and comfort and guidance. In addition to bedside care, I contribute to research, policy, and teaching. I work with a dynamic team of healthcare experts to improve patient health and well-being.
I realize my actions and choices affect patients and the healthcare system. Thus, I feel immense responsibility. I must always advocate for my patients' safety, needs, and evidence-based treatment.
I also noticed healthcare system flaws and inherited issues. The bureaucratic system which is governing the system is quite complex, so, sometimes it is stressful. However, I think that following my professional ideals, working cooperatively, and pushing for positive change may help reform and improve the system.
My healthcare professional social media presence reflects my identity in a world where information flows freely. It lets me share information, promote my ideals. However, professional ethics must be maintained.
I realize patient confidentiality is essential. Never share patient information, protect privacy, and avoid unethical conduct online. My social media should represent my professionalism, compassion, and evidence-based practice.
I consider nursing a calling, not simply a profession. Values shape my professional identity and choices. I believe I am an important element of the healthcare system, working towards patient care excellence and good change. My social media presence promotes these principles and improves healthcare. I want to improve my patients' lives and the healthcare community through compassion, honesty, and continual learning.
